Cookie PolicyEffective Date: September 25, 2026What Jamr keeps in your browser, and what loads from other services.
In short
Jamr does not place its own cookies. We keep two small identifiers in your browser's storage for our own statistics, and we store your login if you sign in. Other services, like Spotify, only load after you click.
What we store in your browser
Everything this site keeps on your device, and for how long.
jamr_web_session_id (session storage, deleted when you close the tab): groups the pages you view during one visit.jamr_web_device_id (local storage, kept for 13 months, together with the date it was made so we know when to replace it): recognises a returning browser, so we can count visitors and see which pages work. It is a random code, not linked to your account, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes. Because this only serves our own statistics and has little impact on your privacy, the law does not require your consent for it (Telecommunicatiewet, article 11.7a paragraph 3). You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.backstage_auth_token, backstage_user_data and backstage_last_refresh (local storage, until you sign out; the login itself expires after 30 days): keep you signed in and remember your name and email for the account menu. Only when you sign in; strictly necessary for that.Backstage (for venues, festivals and artists): backstage_tracking_session_id (session storage, deleted when you close the tab), and which profile you last opened (local storage). We log how business accounts use backstage, to keep it secure and to improve it; see our Privacy Policy.
Services from others
What loads from other companies, and when.
Spotify: an artist's player only loads after you click "Listen on Spotify". Spotify then places its own cookies (such as sp_t, kept up to one year); see Spotify's privacy policy. We remember your click only for the current visit.Newsletter: when you sign up, your email address is sent to our mailing service. Nothing is sent before you submit.Images: some images are loaded directly from the organiser's or ticket seller's website (including Facebook's image server), from Spotify's image server (artist photos) or from our content system (Sanity). Those services then see your IP address; none of them set cookies when we measured.Jamr on festival websites: when a festival shows its Jamr programme or map on its own website, that website is responsible for its own cookies. The map loads Google Maps.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no tracking across other websites, and no Google Analytics.
Managing this
You can clear or block this site's storage in your browser settings. The site keeps working; our statistics then simply do not count you.
